Betty L. (Smith) Collier

Betty Smith Collier, 91, of South Portsmouth, KY., went to be with her Lord Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Hillview Retirement in Portsmouth, OH. She was born in Vanceburg, KY., January 9, 1933 a daughter of the late Junise and Myrtle Applegate Smith.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Donald Ray Collier; three brothers and four sisters.

Left behind to cherish her memory are one son, Randy (Vicki) Collier of South Portsmouth, KY; four daughters, Cheryl (Richard) Fugate of South Shore, KY., Vicky (Mike) Hieneman of Greenup, KY., Gay (John) Woloschek of Nicholasville, KY., and Lorie (Steve Anderson) Wise of Georgetown, KY; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; a longtime friend who she thought of as a sister, Dorothy Bentley and several other family and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Sunday, June 23, 2024 at Morton-Hunt Family Funeral Home in South Shore, KY., with Kenny Fox officiating. The burial will follow at Siloam Cemetery in South Shore, KY. Visitation for family and friends will be Sunday at the funeral home from 11 A.M. until the funeral hour.
