Obituary
Bobbie Jean Mercer Howerton, 85, of South Shore, KY., passed away Thursday, August 4, 2022 at Ashland Community Hospice in Ashland, KY. She was born January 9, 1937 in Portsmouth, OH., a daughter of the late George and Emma Brewer Mercer.
She was a member of the South Shore Church of God. Bobbie enjoyed taking care of her kitty cats.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Stanley Howerton and two sisters, Patty Vanderpool and Joyce Hall.
Left behind to cherish her memory are two sons, Steve (Angie) McClurg and Todd (Tina) Allen Sapp both of South Shore, KY; three sisters, Wanda, Anita and Brenda; one brother Mike; four grandchildren, Stephanie, Jason, Andrew, and Sara; seven great-grandchildren and several other family and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral Services will be 1 P.M. Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at Morton-Hunt Family Funeral Home in South Shore, KY., with pastor Donny McKenzie officiating. Burial will follow at Siloam Cemetery in South Shore, KY. Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday at the funeral home from 11 A.M. until the funeral hour.
