Darrell Sammons

Darrell Sammons, 82, of South Shore, KY., passed away Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Morning Pointe Senior Living in Russell, KY. He was born in Portsmouth, OH., April 15, 1943, a son of Charles and Mabel Hunt Sammons Bosley.

Darrell was a United States Army Veteran and a retired Pharmacist from McDonald Pharmacy in South Shore, KY.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Diana McAllister; stepfather, Myron Bosley; brother-in-law, Darrell Taylor; and niece, Stephanie Smith.

Left behind to cherish his memory are one daughter, Tricia Sammons of South Shore, KY; one sister, Janice Taylor of Reynoldsburg, OH; two brothers, Gary (Shiela) Sammons of Pataskala, OH., and Bob (Kris) Sammons of St. Augustine, FL., along with several other family and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Morton-Hunt Family Funeral Home in South Shore, KY., with Donny McKenzie officiating. The burial will follow at Siloam Cemetery in South Shore, KY. Visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday at the funeral home from 1 P.M. until the funeral hour.
