David Clayton Bradley, 63, of Flatwoods, formerly of Lynn, Ky., passed away Monday, October 17, 2022, at Kings Daughters Medical Center. David was born February 10, 1959, a son of the late Elmer Clayton and Shirley Allen Bradley.
He is survived by his loving wife, Deidre Bradley; siblings, Boyd and Curtis Bradley, Lesley Lovely; three children, Matthew and Michael Bradley, and Kristen (Thelmer II) Damron; Mother in Law, Norma Bradley; three step children, Ryan (Christine) and Ridge (Taylor) Bentley, and Tanner (Angelika) Coffee; thirteen beloved grandchildren, Caden, Sean and Kailee Bradley, Michael Vincent and Titus Clayton Bradley, Kilynn and Clayton Blaine Damron, Tycen, Adelynn, and Cash Bentley, Tayton Dingess, Homer Coffee, and Alisa Bentley; as well as two cousins that were more like brothers, Steve (Rene) Allen and Mike (Terri) Thompson.
David graduated magna cum laude from Morehead State University in 1982 with a B.B.A. Degree. He was a Certified Public Accountant, and Certified Valuation Analyst. He started his more than forty-year career with Kelley Galloway Smith Goolsby, PSC in 1982 as a Staff Accountant. David progressed to Senior Accountant, Manager, Senior Manager, and ultimately was made Director in 1995 through Present. David was a Member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts, and of the Kentucky Society of Certified Public Accountants, as well as the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.
He joined the Russell Rotary Club in 1996. David was a Past-President (2002-2003), a Paul Harris Fellow, and had been serving as Treasurer for more than twenty years. David was a former Director and Board of Chair of the American Red Cross, Eastern Kentucky Chapter.
David put spending time with his family above all else. He also loved to golf, go camping and boating, and travel with his wife in his spare time. After a long day at work, you could often find him on the couch with his wife Deidre and dog Leah, curled up on his lap, watching a UK Wildcats or Cincinnati Bengals game.
Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Friday, October 21, 2022 at Morton-Hunt Family Funeral Home in South Shore, KY with Dr. Tom Melvin officiating. Burial will follow at Allen-Bradley Cemetery in York, KY. Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, October 20, 2022 from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. and Friday from 10 A.M. until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Bradley, Michael Bradley, Thelmer Damron II, Michael Vincent Bradley, Caden Bradley, Lucas Bradley, Ryan Bentley, Ridge Bentley, and Tanner Coffee. Honorary Pallbearers will be Curtis Bradley, Steve Allen, and Mike Thompson.
