Ernestine Dawson

Ernestine Dawson, 62 of Sciotoville, OH passed away Thursday, February 13, 2020 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth, OH. She was born December 30, 1957 in Springfield, OH a daughter of the late Ernest Warren Elmer Douglas and Harriet Bethel Stephenson.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by one son, Jay Johnson; one brother, Donald Douglas and one sister, Jessica Douglas.
Left behind to cherish her memory are two daughters, Rhonda Hammond of Sciotoville, OH and Lisa Vance of Springfield, OH; three brothers, Earl Douglas, Richard Douglas and James Douglas; one sister, Denise Douglas; seven grandchildren, Briana Walton, Caleb Darby, Sean Hammond, Tyler Darby, Bryon Dicus, McKenzie Scarberry and Eric Feathers; three great-granchildren, Bentley Lambert, Malachi Arthur, Abigail Dicus and several other family and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral Services will be 5 P.M. Monday February 17, 2020 at Morton-Hunt Family Funeral Home in South Shore, KY with Gale Beaman officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday from 4 P.M. until the funeral hour.
