Finis Franklin Boggs, 92, of South Shore, KY. went to be with his Lord Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Ashland Community Hospice in Ashland, KY. He was born in Warnock, KY., May 17, 1930 a son of the late Edgar and Hazel Caldwell Boggs.
Finis was a lifelong member of the Liberty United Methodist Church and the oldest member. He was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran, graduated from McKell High School in 1955, past president of the Greenup County Fair Board and past board member of the Greenup County Farm Bureau.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife Anna Virginia Howland Boggs and second wife Nila Craft Boggs; one brother, David Chester Boggs; one sister, Martha Ethel Allen and one son-in-law, Bill Hays.
Left behind to cherish his memory are one son, Archie (Susan) Craft; two daughters, Elinda (Wid) Boyles and Brenda Hays; two brothers, William “Punk” Boggs and Paul Edward “Midge” Boggs; one sister, Florence Pearline Hunt; two special nieces, Diana (Keith) Pettit and Donna Akers. Along with several other nieces, nephews, grandchildren and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral Services will be 12 P.M. Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Morton-Hunt Family Funeral Home in South Shore, KY., with Pastor Ken Southgate officiating. Burial will follow at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Russell, KY. Visitation for family and friends will be Saturday at the funeral home from 10 A.M. until 12 P.M.
