Garnet Opal (Christy) Brumfield

Garnet Opal Christy Brumfield, 98, of Gahanna, OH a former resident of South Shore, KY passed away Sunday, September 20, 2020 at MT Carmel Hospital in Columbus, OH. She was born in Garrison, KY December 19, 1921 a daughter of the late William and Rose Riley Christy.

She was the oldest member of the South Shore First Baptist Church.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband whom she was married to for 55 years Abram “Abe” Brumfield; one son, Eddie Wolfe; two sisters, Christine Ravencraft and June Burriss.

Left behind to cherish her memory are one daughter, Trilva (Jeff) Wilcox of Gahanna, OH; one son, Stewart (Lala) Brumfield of Frankfort, KY; one brother, Bill Christy of Wurtland, KY; five grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several other family and friends who will sadly miss her.

Graveside Services will be 1 P.M. Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at  Waring Cemetery in Garrison, KY.
