Gary Glispie

Gary O. Glispie, 78, of South Shore, KY., passed away Saturday, April 2, 2022 at his residence. He was born in Fullerton, KY., January 15, 1944 a son of the late Wesley and Iva Sexton Glispie.

Gary retired from CSX Railroad. He enjoyed golfing, spending time with family and traveling.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years Shirley Joann Lumpkins Glispie.

Left behind to cherish his memory are one daughter, Kimberley Glispie of South Shore, KY; one son, Gary Ray Glispie of Wheelersburg, OH; two brothers, Danny Glispie of South Shore, KY and Roy Glispie of Portsmouth, OH; five grandchildren, Shayne Bailey, Jeffrey Eldridge II, Joanna Glispie, Chris Glispie and Kyle Glispie; two great-grandchildren, Jade Bailey, Liam Bailey and several other family and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Morton-Hunt Family Funeral Home in South Shore, KY., with Warren Kelly officiating. Burial will follow at MT Zion Cemetery in South Shore, KY. Visitation will be Thursday from 1 P.M. until the funeral hour.

Following the burial, there will be a celebration of life for Gary and Shirley at their house.
