Geneva Jewell Holbrook Stone, 75, of South Shore, KY, died Saturday January 16, 2016 at the SOMC Hospice Care Center in Portsmouth, OH. She was born June 14, 1940 on Schultz Creek in South Shore, KY, a daughter of the late Daniel Holbrook and Alma Royal Holbrook. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Stone and two sisters, Olive Whitt and Nelly Holbrook. She was a retired seamstress at the Williams Shoe factory and a caregiver for many. She was a member of the New Bethlehem United Methodist Church on Schultz Creek in South Shore. Surviving are three sons; Ralph (Betty) Stone Jr. of South Shore, Randy (Angie) Stone of Argillite and Robert Stone of Lancaster, OH. One step-son; Rex (Donna) Wear of Friendship, OH. and one daughter; Ragen (Darrell) Potter of South Shore. Two brothers; David (Eloise) Holbrook of Wheelersburg, OH and Howard (Roilene) Holbrook of Load. Three sisters; Minnie Billups of South Shore, Pamela Whitt of Load and Lynette (Howard) Sommers of South Shore. Seven grandchildren; Brooke Ashley Wear of Friendship, OH, Ashley Potter of Columbus, OH, Darrell Potter of Cummings, GA, Brittany Stone of South Shore, Nathan Potter of South Shore, Brady Stone of Argillite and Dakota Wear of Friendship, OH. Seven great-grandchildren; Gavin Potter of Columbus, OH, Mia McKinley of Columbus, OH, Chelse Potter of Cummings, GA, Kylee Wood of South Shore, Kameron Wood of South Shore, Addison Zornes of South Shore and Gabby Collis of Friendship, OH. Funeral services will be held at 1pm Tuesday January 19, 2016 at the New Bethlehem United Methodist Church on Schultz Creek Rd. in South Shore, KY, with Robert Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Holbrook Cemetery in South Shore. Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 8 pm at Morton Funeral Home in South Shore and Tuesday from 11 am until the time of services at the church.
