Gertrude Nickel Sammons

Gertrude Nickel Sammons, 83, of South Shore, KY died Saturday, November 19, 2016 at her residence.
She was born April 28, 1933, in Fullerton, KY, daughter of the late Clyde Nickel and Ruth Stevenson. She was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Sammons, September 3, 2016; and by a granddaughter, Cheri Sammons and two great-grandchildren, Reese Sammons and Charlotte Stone.
She is survived by seven children, Rick (Jeanita) Sammons of South Shore; Buck (Rita) Sammons of South Shore; Steve (Vicki) Sammons of South Portsmouth; Gina Richards of South Shore; Rowena (Mark) White of Wheelersburg; Andria (Eugene) Chatman of Firebrick and Corey (Kelly)
Sammons of Rosemount. One Brother and Three Sisters; 17 Grandchildren, 22 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am Tuesday November 22, 2016 at MORTON
FUNERAL HOME in South Shore with Danny Bentley officiating. Burial will be in
Siloam Cemetery in South Shore. Visitation will be Monday November 21, 2016 from 6 to 8 pm at the
