Gregory (Greg) Boggs of Greenup, age 68, died on August, 20 2021, at Kings Daughters Memorial Center..
Gregory is survived by his wife of 43 years, Tina (Madden) Boggs; his daughter Jennifer (Boggs) Brown and son in law Bill Brown, of South Portsmouth; his daughter Anna Collister and son in law Christopher Lansing, of Ashland, KY; and his grandson Judd and granddaughters Georgia and Dahlia. He is also survived by his loving uncle Johnny Stephens and wife Linda, his aunt Millie Stephens and several beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Boggs and Ruth Isabelle (Stephens) Boggs, of Greenup; and his sister, Gail (Boggs) Meadows, of Lloyd, KY.
Greg was born on November 4 in 1952. He graduated from Greenup County High School. In After school,he followed in his father’s footsteps and accepted a position at CSX in Russell, KY as a machinist, where he worked for more than 25 years.
Greg was a private man who deeply loved animals and his family. He enjoyed cooking and having his morning coffee with his cat, Valentine.
Due to the recent hospitalizations from COVID-19, the family will forgo an indoor visitation and funeral. A small service and urn burial will be held graveside at Quillen Cemetery in Greenup, KY on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 11 A.M. with Father Mark Bentley officiating. Family and close friends are welcome to attend and celebrate Gregory's life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Sierra’s Haven for New and Used Pets of Portsmouth, OH.
