Hursel Chapman

Hursel Chapman, 79, of Greenup, KY., passed away Thursday, August 4, 2022 at his daughters home in Greenup, KY., with all of his family by his side. He was born in Russell, KY., November 10, 1942 a son of the late Dewey and Oretha Conrad Chapman.

Hursel was a member of the Cornerstone Pentecostal Church in Greenup, KY., and was a retired Welder.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by one granddaughter, Amanda Russell; four brothers, Ralph Chapman, Leo Chapman, Paul Chapman and Basil Chapman; two sisters, Margie Grant and Virginia Powell. Also, two infant siblings.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife Dorothy Clark Chapman; two daughters, Tammy (Mark) Russell and Teresa Chapman; two sons, Tim Chapman and Todd (Rebecca) Chapman all of Greenup, KY; one brother, Gary (Wanda) Chapman of South Shore, KY; one sister, Ethel Qualls of Teays Valley, WV; ten grandchildren, Tim Chapman II, Samantha Chapman, Stephanie (Thomas) Slage, Mark (JoAnna) Russell II, Kayla Layne, Kortney (Darcy) Skinner, Kandi Whitman, Kane Chapman, Todd (Caitlin) Chapman II and Peyton (Jacob) Armstrong; twelve great-grandchildren and several other family and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services will be 4 P.M. Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Calvary Apostolic Lighthouse Church 927 Monroe AVE Wurtland, KY 41144 with Rev. Thomas Slage officiating. Burial will follow at Chapman Family Cemetery in Wurtland, KY. Visitation for family and friends will be Saturday at the church from 3 P.M. until the funeral hour. Morton-Hunt Family Funeral Home in South Shore, KY., are caring for arrangements.
