IRENE MUNN ANTHIS, 98

Ellen Irene Smith Munn Anthis, 98, of South Shore, KY passed away Sunday
February 12, 2017 with her family by her side at the South Shore Nursing and
Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on Old Schultz Road in South Shore on August 28, 1918, a daughter
of the late Jack Smith and Cora McKenzie Smith.
She is survived by her daughter Norma Munn Howell of South Shore and two
daughters-in-law, Suzanne Munn of South Shore and Beatrice Munn of Casa Grande,
AZ, and a step-son, Bob Anthis of Dana Point, CA; 14 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and
one great-great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Herman Lee Munn and Homer Anthis;
three sons, Jim Munn Sr., Don Munn and Bill Munn Sr.; one daughter, Lenore Munn;
one great grandchild, Zachary Diller; two sisters, Ethel Lemon and Ruby Dalton;
and two brothers, Paul Smith and Ralph Smith.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Friday February 17, 2017 at Morton Funeral
Home in South Shore with Mike Dowdy officiating. Burial will be in Siloam
Cemetery in South Shore.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 pm and Friday from 11am to the time of
