James Richard Hartley

It is with great sadness that the family of James R. Hartley announces his passing Friday, April 19, 2019 at his residence in Ashville, OH., after a second battle with cancer at the age of 76. He was born in Ashland, KY., April 22, 1942 a son of the late James Hartley and Susie Mae Potter Hartley.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by one sister Ellen Sherwood.
Surviving are one son Bryan and his wife Andrea along with their children Kennedy and Keegan. James will be remembered by his brother Gary, one daughter Debbie and two sons Rick and David. James will also be fondly remembered by his grandsons Vernon, Dylan, Devon and granddaughters Carress and April. James also had four great grandchildren that will hold him in their hearts forever.
Funeral services will be 1 P.M. Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at Morton Funeral Home in South Shore, KY. Burial will follow at Warnock Cemetery in Greenup, KY. Friends may call at the Morton Funeral Home Tuesday, April 23, 2019 from 12 P.M. until the funeral hour at 1P.M.
