Jeffery Bentley

Jeffery Bentley, 77, of Union, KY., formally of South Shore, KY., passed away Thursday, August 25, 2022 in Union, KY. He was born in Whitesburg, KY., May 26, 1945 a son of the late Ellis and Ruth Adams Bentley.

Jeff was a United States Air Force Veteran and a retired Carpenter from Messer Construction.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 56 years Hazel Jean Bentley; one daughter, Kimberlynne (Joseph Handorf) Bentley of Union, KY., and Michael (Rebecca Rice) Bentley of Portland, TN; six grandchildren, Hannah Meyer, Emily Rae Bentley, Ruth May Bentley, Jessica Handorf, Lauren Handorf and Lyndsey Maxon; four sisters, Carol Martin, Yvonne Woodard, Joyce Smith and Linda (John) Patterson; two brothers, Phillip (Linda) Bentley and Eddie (Brenda) Bentley.

A Celebration of life will be held 1 P.M. Friday, September 2, 2022 at Morton-Hunt Family Funeral Home in South Shore, KY. Visitation for family and friends will be at the funeral home on Friday from 12 P.M. until the service hour.
