Jimmie Ray Thayer

JIMMIE RAY THAYER, 65, of Quincy, Kentucky died Saturday February 3, 2018 at Southern Ohio Medical Center.
He was born May 28, 1952 in Maysville, KY, a son of the late Raymond Thayer and Nellie Brown Hayton.
He was a retired cable contractor and was of the Christian faith.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Hunt Thayer, whom he married June 17, 1972; children, Nellie Melissa (Jamie) Holbrook of South Shore, Jimmie Ray (Shawn) Thayer Jr. of South Shore and Jason Earl (Amy) Thayer of Quincy, KY;
Grandchildren, Ashley Kelley (Joe Willis), Brady Holbrook, Jimmie Ray (Morgan)Thayer III, Chase Thayer, Kiersten Thayer, Brennon Thayer, Alex Thayer, Ryan Johnson; great grandchildren, Paisley Thayer, Kamrynn Thayer and Kason Ray Willis; one sister, Dollie (Bill) McBrayer; three brothers, Roy (Sandy) Thayer, Bill (Patty) Thayer and Mike (Katrina) Thayer, and many nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Buddy F. Thayer.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Thursday February 8, 2018 at MORTON FUNERAL HOME in South Shore, KY, with Steve Lester officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery in Quincy, KY.
