John Talmadge Phillips

John Talmadge Phillips, 86 of Portsmouth, OH passed away Sunday, October 18, 2020 at Hillview Retirement in Portsmouth, OH. He was born in South Portsmouth, KY March 27, 1934 a son of the late Charles and Myrtle Sexton Phillips.

John was a U.S. Army Veteran and retired from Government Service with the Occupational Safety & Health Administrator.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph Phillips and Robert Phillips; one sister, Jean Webb and one grandson, Dalton Phillips.

Left behind to cherish his memory are one son John S. Phillips and his wife Erin from Edgewood, KY; one daughter, Lisa Brown of Villa Hills, KY; one brother, Pete Phillips of Ashland, KY; one grandson, Reece Brown and several other family and friends that will sadly miss him.

A Celebration of Life will be held 1 P.M. Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Morton-Hunt Family Funeral Home in South Shore, KY with Reece Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Siloam Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday at the funeral home from 12:00 P.M. until the service hour.
