Josephine Madden

Josephine Madden 85 years old of Portsmouth, OH, went to be with the Lord Thursday September 28, 2023 at 2:50 pm at St Anthony Hospital, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  She was born October 27, 1937 in Portsmouth, Ohio. the daughter of the late Woodrow W. Madden and Mary Bear Madden.  

She worked at Williams Shoe Factory until it closed.  She then went to work at Scioto County Hospital until she retired in 2003.  She was a member of North Moreland Christian Baptist Church, where she enjoyed teaching Sunday School in her younger years.  

She is survived by her brothers, Gary Madden and his wife, Linda of Edmond, Oklahoma and Kenneth Madden and his wife, Peggy of Appling Georgia. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held 11 A.M. Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Morton-Hunt Family Funeral Home 311James Hannah Drive, South Shore Kentucky with Kenny Potter officiating. Burial will follow at Everman Cemetery located at 80 Chicken Coop Road, Grayson Kentucky. Visitation for family and friends will be Friday at the funeral home from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. and one hour before the service on Saturday.
