Kathleen Roark

KATHLEEN BURGESS ROARK, 91, of South Shore, KY., died Monday November 9, 2015 at King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY. She was born July 29, 1924 in Oldtown, KY, a daughter of the late Robert H. Burgess and Georgia Johnson Burgess. She was preceded in death by her husband, H. Franklin Roark in 1969. She was also preceded in death by a son, Michael Roark and a brother, William Burgess. Kathleen worked for many years as a bookkeeper for Glad Tidings Christian Bookstore in Portsmouth, OH. and was a member of the First Baptist Church in South Shore. She is survived by four sons, David (Debbie) Roark of Ashland, KY, Danny (Vicki) Roark of Minford, OH, Stephen (Tammy) Roark and Lexington, KY and Tim Roark of South Shore, KY; one sister, Audrey Ramey of Wurtland, KY. Five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 3pm Sunday November 22, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in South Shore, KY. with Mark Lilly officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 2pm to 3pm at the church. In lieu of flowers donations are requested to the Parkinson's Foundation.
