Leonard Roe

Leonard A. Roe, 88, of South Shore, KY, died Monday, February 27, 2017 at his residence. He was born July 24, 1928 in Fullerton, KY a son of the late Robert Roe and Fannie Virgin Roe.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Mary Lou Greenslate Roe on May 28, 2011.
Leonard was retired from the N&W Railroad and was a US Navy veteran of WWII.
Surviving are his children; Mike (Donna) Roe of Richmond, KY, Diana (Paul) Olsen of Charleston, SC, Sheryl (Mike) Salyers of South Portsmouth, KY, Bud (Linda) Roe of Ft. Mitchell. KY, Jimmy (Sharen) Roe of South Shore, Teresa (Keith) Meenach of Old Hickory, TN and Karen (Jeff) Evans of South Shore; 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; one brother, Paul David Roe; three sisters, Norma Evans, Lucille Mack and Linda Roe.
He was also preceded in death by a grandson Aaron Roe, one brother and four sisters.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11am Thursday March 2, 2017 at Collier Memorial Gardens in South Portsmouth, KY. with military graveside rites by James Dickey American Legion Post 23.
