Linda Dale (Fannin) Bentley

Linda Dale Fannin Bentley, 78, of South Shore, KY. went to her heavenly home Monday, September 2, 2024 at her residence. She was born in Portsmouth, OH., July 15, 1946 a daughter of the late Irving and Wanda Phillips Fannin.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by one sister, Peggy Fannin; two brothers, Jimmy Dee Fannin and Chuck Fannin.

Linda Dale was a Homemaker and worked at McKell Public Library for several years. She was the matriarch of her family, and her family was her greatest joy.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband Phillip Bentley; one son, Greg (Rhonda) Bentley; two daughters, Beth (James) Campbell and Becky (Robert) French all of South Shore, KY; one brother, Jeff (Tammy) Fannin of Lloyd, KY; two sisters-in-law, Ruthann Fannin and Tammy Fannin; six grandchildren, Nathan (Amber) Bentley, Reese (Keri) Bentley, Katelyn (Dustin) Linthicum, Connor French, Cole French and Case French; three great-grandchildren, Calli, Kaiden and Raelynn; a long time family friend Janie Craigmiles and several other family and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Morton-Hunt Family Funeral Home in South Shore, KY., with Loren Harden and Bob Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at MT Zion Cemetery in South Shore, KY. Visitation will be Thursday at the funeral home from 12 P.M. until the funeral hour.

We little knew that morning God was going to call your name.

In life we loved you dearly. In death we do the same

It broke our hearts to lose you. You did not go alone. For part of us went with you, the day God called you home.

You left us beautiful memories; your love is still our guide. And though we cannot see you, you are always by our side.

Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same. But as God calls us one-by-one. The chain will link again.
