Melody Asbell

Melody Lucretia Skaggs-Asbell, 61, of West Portsmouth, Ohio, passed away November 29, 2019 at SOMC in Portsmouth, Ohio. Melody was daughter of the late Henry and Myrtle Skaggs. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by four brothers Brian, William, Anthony and Orin Skaggs and a Grandchild Johnathan Clay.
Surviving are two daughters: Melanie young and Nina Pack and one son Chad Clay. She is also survived by two sisters: Ethel Howard & Eda Byrde; Four Brothers: Patrick, Richard, Henry & Charles Skaggs; Eight Grandchildren; two Great-Grandchildren; Eight Step-Grandchildren; Five Step Great-Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 4 P.M. Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at Morton-Hunt Family Funeral Home in South Shore, KY with Raymond Lewis officiating. Burial will be Thursday, December 5, 2019 at the Firebrick Cemetery in Firebrick, KY. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 4, 2019 from 3 P.M. until 4 P.M.
