Miranda Leigh (Lewis) Harris

Miranda Leigh Lewis Harris, 47, of South Shore, KY., passed away Saturday, April 12, 2025, at SOMC Hospice. Miranda was born January 20, 1978, in Portsmouth, OH., a daughter of Ronald and Connie Greenslate Lewis.

She is preceded in death by one niece, Peyton Adkins; maternal grandparents, Robert and Inez Greenslate; paternal grandparents, Simon and Modie Lewis.

For the past 8 years, Miranda has shown monumental strength throughout her battle.

Miranda was also known for her immense selflessness, which was shown through her work as a Registered Nurse at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital for 17 years.

Left behind to cherish her memory along with her parents are her husband, James Harris; three children, Andrew (Shelby) Nickel of Greenup, KY., Braden Nickel of South Shore, KY., and Jacie Harris of South Shore, KY.; one grandson, Colsen Sparks of South Shore, KY.; one sister, Aimee (Jamie) Carpenter of South Shore, KY.; several other nieces, nephews, family and friends who will miss her dearly.

Funeral services will be at 1 P.M. on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at Morton-Hunt Family Funeral Home in South Shore, KY., with David Bentley and Chris Fannin officiating. Burial will follow at Brick Union Cemetery in Lloyd, KY. Visitation will be Wednesday at the funeral home from 11 A.M. until the funeral hour
