Nesba C. Keibler, 87, of Portsmouth, OH., formerly of South Shore, KY., went to be with her Lord Friday, April 21, 2023 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth, OH. She was born in Ivel, KY., November 22, 1935 a daughter of the late Clyde and Alice Stephens Crisp.
Nesba attended the First Church of God in South Shore since 1958, was an Eastern Star since 1974, a lifetime member of WCG, a Kentucky Colonel and retired from First & Peoples Bank after 32 years.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 26 years Fred “Rabbit” Keibler JR; two brothers, Don Crisp and Tom Murphy; one sister-in-law, Violet Crisp and one brother-in-law, Charles Lybrook.
Left behind to cherish her memory are one daughter, Mary Alice (Paul) DeHart of South Shore, KY; three grandchildren, Paul David (Christina) DeHart of Belle Center, OH., Michael Kenan DeHart of Orlando, FL., and John Andrew DeHart of South Shore, KY; one brother, Bob (Kay) Crisp of South Shore, KY; two sisters, Shannon (Paul) Hunt of Greenup, KY., and Phyllis Lybrook of South Shore, KY; two sister-in-laws, Betty Murphy of Greenup, KY., and Shirley Ann Dailey of Gallipolis, OH. She also leaves behind many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be 1 P.M. Monday, April 24, 2023 at South Shore First Church of God 187 Main Street South Shore, KY., with Pastor Donny McKenzie and Pastor Acy Gibson officiating. Burial will follow at Siloam Cemetery in South Shore, KY. Visitation for family and friends will be Monday at the church from 11 A.M. until the funeral hour. Morton-Hunt Family Funeral Home in South Shore, KY., are caring for arrangements.
