Patrick "Pat" McGuire

Patrick W. McGuire, 60, of South Shore, KY, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, OH. He was born in Portsmouth, OH, on May 24, 1965, a son of the late Don McGuire and Helen Nickel Slater.

Pat was a retired Machinist from Caterpillar and was an avid Notre Dame Fighting Irish football fan

Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Sherry Wells McGuire; two sons, Maxwell McGuire of Portsmouth, OH, and Levi Wells of South Shore, KY; one daughter, Lyndsey (Ralph) Craft of South Shore, KY; three grandchildren, Sophia, whom he called “Bob” and was very special to him, Max, and Malaya; one great-grandchild, Layla; one sister, Leslie Daniels and several other family and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services will be at 1 P.M. Monday, February 23, 2026, at Morton-Hunt Family Funeral Home in South Shore, KY, with Chris Fannin officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be on Monday at the funeral home from 11 A.M. until the time of the funeral. A private inurnment will be at Bennett’s Chapel Cemetery at a later date.
