Peter Edward Swal Jr

Peter Edward Swal JR., 56 of South Shore, KY., passed away Sunday, August 18, 2019 at ST Mary's Hospital in Huntington, W. VA. He was born November 20, 1962 in Trenton, NJ., a son of the late Peter Edward Swal SR and Madonna McCown Swal.
He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, was the Commander of James Flannery American Legion Post 276 in South Shore, KY., and retired from General Motors.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by one nephew Mark Swal JR.
Left behind to cherish is memory are his wife of 29 years Joan Swal, one daughter Amanda (Adam) Coody of South Shore, KY., four brothers Mark (Gloria) Swal of Allentown, NJ., Patrick (Marie) Swal of Robbinsville, NJ., Andrew (Judy) Swal of Chesterfield, VA., and Brian (Jessica) Swal of Crosswicks, NJ., two sister in laws Maryanne (Frank) Andreanszky and JoAnne Barton, two brother in laws Thomas Barton and Michael Barton, mother in law Gay Barton and special aunt Gloria Nicholson, one grandson who he loved dearly Brody Thomas Coody, several nieces, nephews and his dog Madison Tuty Swal who he considered his best friend.
Funeral Services will be 11 A.M. Friday, August 23, 2019 at Morton-Hunt Family Funeral Home in South Shore, KY. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Northeast in Grayson, KY. Visitation will be Thursday, August 22, 2019 from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. and from 10 A.M. until the funeral hour on Friday.
