Raymond Bentley, 87, of South Shore, KY, died Saturday January 7, 2017 at
Crystal Care in Franklin Furnace, Ohio.
He was born March 26, 1929 in Portsmouth, Ohio a son of the late Nathaniel Matt
Bentley and Virgie Lewis Bentley.
He was a retired auto mechanic and a US Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Sexton Bentley; children, Rickey (Kay) Bentley
of Whittaker, Michigan, Randy (Debbie) Bentley of South Shore, Robin (Butch)
Dowdy of South Shore and Ron (Tonya) Bentley of South Shore; six grandchildren,
seven great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and daughter-in-law Vicki
Bentley of South Shore.
He was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Ray Bentley and a granddaughter,
Rachel Bentley.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 1pm Tuesday January 10, 2017 at
Siloam Cemetery in South Shore, KY with Bob Sweeney and Kenny Fox officiating,
with military graveside rites by James Flannery American Legion Post 276.
Arrangements are under the direction of Morton Funeral Home in South Shore.
