Raymond Carl Holder

Raymond Carl Holder SR, 78 of South Shore, KY passed away Thursday, November 28, 2019 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth, OH. He was born in Clark County, KY June 26, 1941 a son of the late Marion Holder and Lucille Blackwell Heaton.
He served our country in the United States Air Force and retired from CSX Railroad. Raymond enjoyed Fishing, Hunting and Gardening he was an avid outdoorsman.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers Russell Holder and Bob Shipp.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 60 years Anna Meadows Holder, three sons; Raymond Holder JR, Randall Holder both of South Shore, KY and Ronnie (Sandra) Holder of Purcellville, VA; three daughters, Mona (Jim) Hockaday of Louisa, VA, Emma (Tim) Vansickle of South Shore, KY and Heather (Tracy) Nichols of Kingsport, TN; one brother, William (Barbara) Holder of Lexington, KY; one sister Shirley Rankin of Lexington, KY; nineteen grandchildren, twenty four great-grandchildren and many other family and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Sunday, December 1, 2019 at Morton-Hunt Family Funeral Home in South Shore, KY with Pastor Gary Arthurs officiating. Burial will follow at Siloam Cemetery in South Shore, KY. Visitation for family and friends will be Sunday, December 1, 2019 from 12 P.M. until the funeral hour at 2 P.M.
