Rebecca Lynn (Timberlake) Blankenship, 70, went peacefully to her Heavenly home on Saturday, December 31, 2022, at the SOMC Hospice Center. She was born in Portsmouth, OH, on November 18, 1952, to the late Clarence and Ruby Cremeans Timberlake.
Rebecca was a 1970 graduate of McKell High School in South Shore, Kentucky, which she attended with Lawrence Blankenship, her high school sweetheart and love of her life. She was a homemaker and a preacher for over 40 years for the International Pentecostal Church of Christ (IPCC). She also enjoyed sewing, making quilts, and telling others of her faith in Christ. She was the pastor and a faithful and loving part of the Meade IPCC church, where she will be deeply missed by her church family. She was also a very loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother, always willing to help and give to others without reservation.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her brother David Timberlake; and her sister Kaye (Timberlake) Conley.
Surviving are her husband of 52 years Lawrence Blankenship of Wheelersburg; her brother Tom Timberlake of Flatwoods; her brother Larry Timberlake of South Shore; her sister Louann (Timberlake) Adams of Wheelersburg; her daughters Lori (Jimmy) Nolan and Jennifer (Kevin) Hughes, both of Wheelersburg; three grandchildren, Tyler (Jordan) Shonkwiler, Nicole Hughes, and Nathan Hughes, all of Wheelersburg; and two soon-to-be-born great grandchildren, Colt and Crew Shonkwiler.
Funeral Services will be 12 P.M. Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Morton-Hunt Family Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky with Brother Dean Kouns officiating. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Northeast in Grayson, KY. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11 A.M. until the funeral hour.
