Shirley Cortez

Shirley Sparks Cortez, 81, of Columbus, OH., passed away Friday, May 23, 2025, at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, OH. She was born in Fullerton, KY., on December 15, 1943, a daughter of the late William and Arizona Horn Sparks.

Left behind to cherish her memory are one daughter, Arizona Cortez of Columbus, OH; one nephew, Nate (Hope) Sturgill of Lancaster, OH; along with several other family and friends who will sadly miss her.

A private graveside service will be at MT Olive Church Cemetery in South Shore, KY. Morton-Hunt Family Funeral Home in South Shore, KY., are caring for arrangements.
