Shirley Joann (Lumpkins) Glispie

Shirley Joann “Lumpkins” Glispie, 77, went home to be with the Lord, March 18, 2022 at her home in South Shore, KY.  Shirley was the daughter of the late Roy and Rhoda Mullins Lumpkins.

Shirley loved spending time with her family.  She was a homemaker, enjoyed playing golf, and traveling.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by one infant sister; three brothers, Verlon Lumpkins, Bobby Lumpkins and Conley Lumpkins; two sisters; Ruth Brandenburg and Clotine Wente.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 59 years, Gary O. Glispie; one daughter, Kimberley Glispie; one son, Gary Ray Glispie; five grandchildren, Shayne Bailey, Jeffrey Eldridge II, Joanna, Chris, and Kyle Glispie and two great-grandchildren, Jade and Liam Bailey; one brother, Larry Lumpkins; one sister, Dorothy Bryant and several nieces and nephews that will sadly miss her. 

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 P.M. Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at Morton-Hunt Family Funeral Home in South Shore, KY., with Warren Kelly officiating. Burial will follow at MT Zion Cemetery in South Shore, KY.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 1 P.M. until time of service at the funeral home.
