Shirley (Adams) Nichols

Shirley Adams Nichols, 75, of West Portsmouth, OH., passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at Resthaven Nursing Home in McDermott, OH., with her family by her side. She was born in Pikeville, KY., June 11, 1949 a daughter of the late Clarence and Fay Justice Adams.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Donald Nichols; second mother, Bertha Adams and one brother, Dave Adams.

She leaves behind her cherished granddaughter, Leah (Paul) Coleman, who was like a daughter to her and who provided unwavering love, support and companionship, especially during her later years; along with two children; three brothers, Sammy, Gene, and Dan Adams; two more grandchildren, Chelsea Nichols and Kierra Nichols; one great-grandson, Mason Coleman and several other family and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Morton-Hunt Family Funeral Home in South Shore, KY., with Brian Baer officiating. Burial will follow at Nichols Family Cemetery in Pikeville, KY. Visitation for family and friends will be Saturday at the funeral home from 10 A.M. until the funeral hour.
