Stephen P. Howland

STEPHEN P. HOWLAND, 77, of South Shore, KY died Saturday December 16, 2017 at
Woodland Oaks Nursing Home in Ashland, KY. He was born October 18, 1940 at
Maloneton, KY a son of the late Virgil Benjamin Howland and Ernestine Dupuy
Howland.
He was preceded in death by his wife Brenda K. Boggs Howland on November 11,
2012. He was also preceded by one sister, Jayne Frances Pitts.
Steve was retired from the Brickyard in South Shore after 35 years of service.
He also worked for Precision Builders Inc., was a lifetime farmer and a board
member of Kentucky Farm Bureau in Greenup County. He was a member of Liberty
United Methodist Church at Maloneton and a US Army veteran.
He is survived by one son, Stephen Douglas Howland of Corbin, KY.; one daughter,
Heather Leigh (Travis) Pierce of South Shore; one granddaughter, Sarah Jo Pierce
of South Shore; and one brother William E. (Helen) Howland of Greenup.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am Tuesday December 19, 2017 at MORTON
FUNERAL HOME in South Shore with Jim Montgomery officiating. Burial will be in
Liberty Cemetery at Maloneton, KY with military graveside rites by
Lucasville-Minford Post 363 American Legion. Visitation will be Monday from 6 to
8pm at the funeral home.
