Violet E. (Bentley) Tinsley

Violet E. Bentley Tinsley, 96, of South Portsmouth, KY., went to be with her Lord Saturday, April 27 2024 at Hill View Retirement in Portsmouth, OH. She was born in Vanceburg, KY., March 16, 1928 a daughter of the late Joe and Pearl Willis Bentley.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Alfred Tinsley; three sisters, Audry Boggs, Hattie Holbrook and Ilene Conley; three brothers, Art Bentley, Norman Bentley and Joe Bentley.

Left behind to cherish her memory are three sons, Kenneth (Diane) Tinsley of South Shore, KY., Wesley (Jocelyn) Tinsley of Monroe, MI., and Joseph (Alison) Tinsley of Chelsea, MI; one sister, Cleo Smith of Firebrick, KY; six grandchildren, Sam, Alex, Katy, Emma, Angela and Amanda; five great-grandchildren, Victoria, Spencer, Olivia, Max, Louie and several other family and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services will be 1 P.M. Thursday, May 2, 2024 at the Firebrick Christian Baptist Church 672 Firebrick Indian Run Road Firebrick, KY 41174 with Raymond Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Collier Memorial Gardens in South Portsmouth, KY. Visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at Morton-Hunt Family Funeral Home in South Shore, KY., from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. and one hour before the funeral hour at the church on Thursday.
